For close to 20 years Budget Demolition has been providing top quality demolition services from pre planning to project completion. In many situations demolition is the first step in a construction project so it’s very important to work closely with project owners and contractors to ensure timely completion with safety as our top priority. Whether demolishing a house or a multi-building complex Budget provides the same consistent level of customer oriented professional service, setting us apart from other Demolition Companies.
Check out the video below, it is a short compilation taken from hours of video shot during the later stages of the Ivor Wynne demolition job in Hamilton Ontario in 2013.
This video is interesting to watch, especially if you've never been on the site of a demolition project before. You can see some of the careful maneuvering and machine operating skill required to do the job safely. Demolition projects can be dangerous if not done with careful precision. It's easy to forget how massive some of the beams and other materials are as they come tumbling down.
In addition to demolition Budget can also provide abatement services, soil remediation, site decommissioning and waste disposal services. For more details about our demolition services follow this link to our Demolition Contractors page.

Below is the 2nd video that was compiled from hundreds of hours of footage of the demolition of Ivor Wynne stadium in Hamilton, Ontario. Budget Environmental of Hamilton was given the responsibility of the task and the job was completed over the winter of 2012/2013. Budget has been involved in the demolition industry since 1995 and as a proud member of the Hamilton community it was an honour to be part of this project involving one of Hamilton's most iconic locations.

It's difficult to see the end of the Ivor Wynne era. So many great memories from the 1972 Grey Cup victory by the hometown Ticats to Pigskin Pete, the Box J boys and the list could go on and on. Ivor Wynne had it's own personality unlike any other venue anywhere. That said, I'm sure once the new stadium is in place we'll all appreciate the improved facilities and amenities that come along with it.
The stadium is uniquely located right in a neighbourhood without the mass parking that you typically see at a sports arena or stadium, and that's not changing. When you drive in on game day you see locals renting out space on their lawns for parking. Recently the city of Hamilton has been looking at tightening laws relating to parking on lawns. Thankfully they've decided (for now at least) to give the area around the stadium exempt status so the lawn parking tradition will continue. Just another piece of the character that makes up the Hamilton football experience.

While assessing your business needs for waste disposal, consider the practical option of a permanent front lift bin. If properly fitted, a front lift bin can save you thousands annually, and provide a clean, quick and convenient option for your waste disposal.
First, look at the amount and type of waste you produce. The cheapest service option may not be the best and most cost saving option. Your business waste could be partly commodity, part waste. Does your work place produce a large amount of cardboard, more then actual rubbish? Cardboard is a commodity and should be treated as one. It may be beneficial to have two bins, one larger bin for cardboard, and one smaller bin for rubbish. In doing this you may be able to save dollars per month. Yes, having two bins could be more cost effective then one. Also, look at the volume of waste that you produce and determine the correct size and service frequency. Getting a small bin serviced many times per month may not be as good of a deal as getting a large bin less frequently. Always figure out the amount of dollars per yard you are paying, regardless of the frequency, and based on this formula, what is best for your location.
Second, assess the need for a recycling bin. This bin can be an effective way to cut down on the amount of rubbish you produce, and reduce the strain on landfills. A recycling bin can take most of the materials that can be recycled, without separating them at your location. No more keeping paper and cans separate. Simply throw everything in one bin and we will take care of the separation.
What about contracts? Should you be scared of them? Contracts are a security for both you the customer and us the service provider. You are guaranteed a price for the life of the contract. We are guaranteed a customer for the life of a contract. You have the peace of mind that your bill will be the same for the contract term. No guessing every month. Your contract, if done properly, will protect you from the unknown of the future. Set it and forget it.
Finally, when choosing a company to be your service provider for front lift bins, be sure to ask what the final bill is per month. Base charges are exactly that, base charges. Check for fuel surcharges and additional environmental surcharges. All these should be factored in before you sign up for a bin.
If you have any questions or are not sure if a front lift type permanent bin is the right option for you, give us a call. We would be glad to walk you through and explain the different options you have to truly find the most cost effective to manage your businesses waste. We are experts in roll off containers, dumpsters and bins of all types in Southern Ontario.

How are we able to provide the service that we do for construction sites?
We have no set schedule for our days. As calls come in, our dispatch team looks at the most effective way of serving all our clients. We have seen how our service is appreciated by our clients by the growth we have experienced over the years. We have grown from 2 trucks and a handful of bins in 1993 to over 30 trucks and nearly 1000 bins today.
Now that we have your service issues looked after, what else can be done to improve your job site? Do you have large amounts of recyclable materials that need to be disposed of? Perhaps consider separating loads to cut down on disposal costs. Having a scrap metal bin onsite will recapture some of the disposal costs. If you are working on a LEED project, you are doing this already. Don’t pay the same disposal rate for construction waste as you do for materials such as cardboard. Remember that the more work the disposal company has to do to the waste, the more you will end up paying in disposal costs. What areas can you improve on at your site?
If you are on a job site now, or about to start a new site, consider all your options. Look at how you can make your site more efficient and cost effective.
If you have questions please call us. We are here to make sure that waste disposal is one of your least concerns.
Don’t settle for anything less than excellent service for your job site. It’s your second home, give it the best.

In my experience, “what do you need?” is usually the first thing I hear when I step out of my vehicle at a building site. Usually, it's done with a curious look along with body language that says: “I know you want to sell me something”.
I understand the hesitation – and I know that I'm treading on important ground. I have learned over the years that the work site to the site supervisor is equal to a classroom for the professor. It’s your home away from home. It’s your pride, and you will do anything to make that site the most efficient it can possibly be.
So when you are dealing with a site, how efficient is your waste management? If it is a LEED site, you're forced to think about it, given the strict standards LEED holds for its buildings.
But what if it isn't?
The most common complaint from site supervisors usually isn't the price of a bin service – but the level of service. When you call for a bin pickup, you want service immediately, not in two days, not in three. Most people want it that day or first thing the day after.
Why?
Because when you finally notice the bin on-site it is normally overflowing and your guys are looking for a place to dump their material. It should be a simple fix, just call the company and get it switched out. Or is it that simple? Do you call and talk to a live operator? Does your order get taken by that person immediately? Does your disposal company hold to their word regarding when they will service the bin? If not, why are you dealing with that company?
Those key aspects should be mandatory, so you should demand them when dealing with your waste company. If they can’t deliver these simple aspects, then why are they your provider? We have built our business on an excellent service mandate and we take it a step further. Knowing how important your site is to you, we offer a guarantee. If you call us before noon, we will service your bin same day. If we are not able to for whatever reason, we will give you the bin free, you just pay for the dumping.
